Architectural proposal for the reconstruction of a private residence, situated in the eastern foothills of Parnitha.
"Casa's winery village" is located on a large area at the eastern foot of Parnitha, in the village that was formerly called Kiourka. The village is 34 km away from Athens, and the owners wanted to make the best of the 8 existing houses. Their desire was to create a meeting place for wine lovers and, at the same time, a place where one can relax and enjoy outdoor activities, not very far from the city center. Our goal was to avoid any architectural extravagance, to take advantage of the stunning view, and to turn this place into an ideal weekend destination.
CASA D6 was the first house that we studied and the one that will be the owners' private residence. We were asked to design a “flexible” house; a house adaptable to the changing seasons while maintaining the connection with the surrounding forest landscape. In this two-storey building, we decided to place natural stone both inside and outside to enhance the continuity of the spaces on the ground floor. We carefully selected country-style furniture with classic lines to emphasize the handmade, natural materials.
