“MTL (MONTREAL) hair & art” is a new space that fusions two business concepts:
a hair salon and an art gallery.
The owner is a hairstylist and an artist, so our goal was to combine the two passions in a common space, to bring people together through hair and art.
The owner’s artwork can be described as «the love between architecture and ribbons, between Brutalism, Bauhaus and cords», and it was crucial for designing the space. Paintings of contemporary galleries were also the inspiration behind the design of MTL’s styling stations. The big metal frames around the mirrors give the customers the impression that they are too inside a framed work of art.
Moreover, MTL hair salon/art gallery is an alternative space where pop-up events can occur. We hope to find you there.
