The reconstruction of this residence in Kifissia marks a whole new circle of life for the building and its adaptation to meet the requirements of its new owners and the energy-saving standards. It was built in two stages from 1975 to 1990 and is distinctive of a building made of reinforced concrete with horizontal plates, horizontal circulation, and small openings towards the garden. The building’s separation, which exists in horizontal properties, is now abolished and a single three-storey house is created, with the kitchen and the main living room on the ground floor.
We have conducted a provision for the second floor’s conversion into an independent apartment for the owners' daughter, with its own kitchen and bathroom. On this floor, the bioclimatic pergola provides shade, but it also functions symbolically: the view of the green scenery signals the return of outside life.
