The total renovation of a 90 sq.m. apartment in Exarcheia, is based on three main architectural characteristics: the view, the building and the floor it is on, and the date of its construction. This apartment is on the 5th floor, in a 1973 building, located on Stournari street.
As far as the design part is concerned, the most important requirement was to turn the apartment's closed-space functional rooms into a brand new modern house through the use of unique materials, modern constructions, and smart solutions.
We used new materials as well as a single-color palette for the entrance area and the hallway, which leads to the kitchen and bathroom, to create the illusion of a bigger joint room.
Color is the most important element in the design process and we chose the right tone combinations and necessary proportions for a harmonious result.
