I created the “Art of the blue studio” in 2018 in the Netherlands. My goal was to bring the cyanotype technique back to the light and to create tangible memories, in the shades of blue. My need arises from my architectural influences as well as the intense blue hues of the Greek summer.
Cyanotype is a photographic printing technique discovered in 1842 by Sir J. Herschel. It is based on the interaction of a chemical ferrous solution with sunlight. The exposure of the object takes place under sunlight and the printed result has blue tones. Printing can be done on paper, fabric and various materials. The unpredictable nature of this process is what makes it so fascinating, as it lends uniqueness to each project. It is a creative printing game with light.

Maria Melissianou
After 10 years in the UK where I studied architecture and worked in various offices, I returned to Greece and discovered ceramic art. It was a surprising liberation from the doctrine of architecture and the restrictive planning regulations. This hand- crafting medium became a channel to self-expression as I began to create ceramic sculptures and everyday objects.
My innate love for the blue color, which represents life, is evident in my creations. The ceramic object loses all moisture in its final form, which is why I leave a blue imprint in memory of the water using different glazing techniques. The sculptural forms of my ceramics derive from the nature and fluidity of the clay. I also create utilitarian ceramic objects which I incorporate into my architectural projects.

Ioulia Lazou
My professional career begins from my student years and includes graphic design, jewelry, furniture and building construction. My multi-faceted engagement with various forms of expression results from perceiving architecture as the center of an expanded field of experimentation. In my projects I "play" and experiment with scale, materials, end-user and function, adapting each of these elements to the conditions of each study.
As a consequence of my architectural path came my preoccupation with jewelry which completes my search around scale and material as I define jewelry as the minimum architectural matter that can exist in space.
The architectural jewel is the spatial transcription of an incessant, inner drive generated by my wandering around the city and interacting with its people:
it’s the product of an endless process of observation, research and experimentation. It’s a composition of diverse fragments governed by a single geometrical consistency, a consequence of the reading of the built landscape and the personal need to translate this to a tangible, intimate and more human scale.

Iraklis Kougemitros was born in Athens, Greece where he still works and lives.
He has studied music technology and saxophone, and since 2009 photography has become an essential mean to express himself.

He has taken part in International photo contests with great success and was a finalist in the street photography category. Some of the most important competitions are:

Iraklis is a self-taught photographer and likes to capture on his camera elements of the urban environment. For him, detail is important and plays a leading role, while humans are most often present in his frames as figures. His main tools are shadow, color, and geometry˙
with photography he always tries to tell short stories and through that to explain and redefine “the meanings”.

Afrodite Papadouli was born in Athens and lives and works in Dionysos, Attica.
She is a graduate of Athens School of Fine Arts, under the supervision of Giannis Psychopedis, with an integrated master's in painting. She has taught as a teacher from 2002 to 2019.
After her graduation in 2002, her work evolved rapidly into expressionistic trends with striking colors and strong contrasts. She would break the form quite often and she would choose her subject instinctively.
She has presented her work in more than ten solo exhibitions in Greece, such as:
“Gallery Christina Karella”, 2003 and 2005, “Gallery 7, Athens”, 2007, 2009, 2011 and 2014, and now at “Elephant Design”,
and abroad: specifically in London, in the "Bedfordbury Gallery" in 2008, in the "Mess Room-Saatchi Gallery" in 2019, in the "Hellenic Center" in 2017 and 2020, with catalogs that she has published for most of the respective themes.
She has also participated in about twenty group exhibitions in Greece, New York, London, and Florence, from 2000 until today. The main ones took place in Greece: in 2000 at the "Zappeion" after an award on the "Greece and the euro" theme and, the following year, in the exhibition with an award for her participation in the theme "Piraeus-Port-Station". Moreover, she has taken part in the exhibition "Global Artists", in the "Broadway Gallery", in New York in 2012, in three exhibitions of “Art Athina”(2014, -15, -16), at “The Other Art Fair-Truman Brewery” in London in 2020 and recently at “Shoreditch” in London, with the group exhibition of the “Balmain Galleria” and in Florence, at the “Florence Biennale”, 2021.
Her works, among others, have been included in the book "Important World Artists, vol.1", in the art magazines "Art Fair International, vol.19, summer 2012" and in "Aesthetica Magazine, The Art and Culture Magazine, issue 5".

Eleftheria Kapsali was born in Athens, she has studied Architecture in Greece, and took her master's degree in UCL, London, about the Narration of Architecture.
Self-taught, she has received many awards in painting as a child and as an adult, she has received honorable mentions in graphic design competitions among other things.
She has participated in several group exhibitions, in Athens, Milan, and Genova, such as:
- 2005 "Design proposals 1990-2005" with two artworks, in Thessaloniki
- 2009 "Athens Video Art Festival" in Technopolis, Athens in two categories after a competition.
She exhibited the Installation “In-Between ephemeral transcripts” and presented “Blink” in the category Digital Image.
- In 2020 she participated in group exhibitions in Genova at “Pallazo Ducalle” and in “Galeria Cael” in Milan and in gallery “ArtNumber23 London | Greece”, online exhibition.
In 2019 she worked as Concept Visual artist and designed the set for the play “A thousand and one tales” at the National Theatre of Athens.
She is also teaching architecture as part of Arkki faculty to children of ages 3-12. Eleftheria has designed published book covers and animated storyboards for video projects for companies. She is always keen on practicing every kind of art that attracts her attention. Creativity is fundamental for her as a person, and it’s attached to her inner thoughts. As such, it cannot be described as a method, but as a necessity. It defines her completely.
Painting came always naturally to her as a way of expression, as a way of thinking, and as a necessity. That is why her relationship with arts has come a long way and she is devoted to art since 2018. She is devoted to her art and in the last few years, she is focused on watercolor painting.

Apollon Mathioudakis was born in 1988 in Athens.
Since late 2019, he started to express himself through painting, using technics such as street art, primitivism, neo-expressionism, letters, words, or phrases through which he tries to create symbolisms that encode his thoughts, view, feelings, and experiences that he tries to communicate through his art.
Drawing inspiration from everyday city life, the people he meets or interacts with, their feelings and how these feelings shape into society and social frameworks. A person’s sentimental world and psyche, social contradictions, facts, and messages from the environment he interacts with, are also highly inspirational sources for him.
In the summer of 2020 he took part, for the first time, in the group exhibition “2M” by Blender Gallery.
He is self-taught, using mostly mixed media (acrylics, oil, pastels, markers, spray, coal, pencils, watercolors etc.).
